A new windings design for improving single-phase induction motor performance

<span lang="EN-US">Single-phase induction (asynchronous) motors are widely used at home. These have two windings and usually operate a lower performance than 3-phase asynchronous which three windings. For this reason, study aims to design new winding of single-phase motor by increasing the number phases in order increase motor. This research was focused on 36 slot capacitor-start capacitor-run The 4 non-identical motor, where acted as auxiliary one main winding. rated current designed 2.74 A for 3.15 compared traditional with same structure stator, rotor, current. had data: 1 HP, 220 V, 8.3 A, 1440 RPM, 50 Hz, poles. results indicated that operated power factors almost close unity higher output power, torque, efficiency motors.</span>
